Meet the Norns
We’re Anais and Alexis
Owner of The Norns' Visions
Cowriters, co-creators, and partners in every sense of the word.
Bound in fate, myth, and heartbreak.
The Burdens of Heirs was born from the ache between us—the stories we carried, the love we buried, the kingdoms we imagined burning.
We wrote this story as a gift to each other.
We release it on our anniversary.
For the queer ones who have yet to find their mirror.
Thank you for coming this far, we are so eager to welcome you into a piece of our love, our vision, our devotion.
Both of us have been crafting worlds for over a decade—starting with fanfiction, roleplays, and countless late-nights making character bio’s. We met at an EDM show, danced under the lights, and bonded instantly over our love for storytelling. We’ve been writing together ever since. <3
Now, we’re proud to bring our first original series into the world.
Though we are convinced this is not just a story, but rather—-untold lives we were given the honor of sharing.
We want to start off by declaring that we are publishing with the goal of returning humanity, love and honor to Pagans and Norse people.
We hope through our story, we can begin to nurture and rebuild the idea that Norse people are more than “viking” individuals, but people with lives, loves and heart. We are proud to say that our story does not normalize r*pe, brutality or aggression through a lens of paganism—no.
Our Norse characters are full of depth, emotion and strength that does not rely on the diminishing of others.
Long overdue is this cultural correction.
We are excited to inspire such a path.
Through our writing, we aim to create a space where all readers can see themselves—whether in the courage to love, to be fully seen, or the quiet ache of longing. We are driven by the belief that queer, Sapphic/Achillean, neurodivergent, diverse stories deserve to be heard, celebrated, cried over, and never erased.
We honor Achilles & Patroclus, and Sappho for their devotion, their love, and their tales—-
Let this story grant a taste of their everlasting bonds.
We are driven by the belief that humans are not born evil—that their environments are at play, shaping their choices, forging their wounds, and influencing what parts of them are allowed to survive.
In this series, we unravel how love, trauma, power, and survival twist together to make someone who they are—and who they might have been.
Our stories are about love and life—messy, brutal, redemptive, and fluid. And we hope you’ll find something in them that feels like warmth, heart, and home.
Ah what are we saying ;)
This book feels like death, broken hearts, and utter despair…But you love it.
